The Kilatis Kutis Campaign promotes the importance of skin health and encourages the public with skin problems to consult at the Rural Health Units. Patients were advised to go to the health centers to determine the nature of their skin diseases such as ringworm, tinea, eczema or leprosy. The main program of the campaign is for them to come out for their skin evaluation and avail the free services offered by the DOH.
One of the Primary goals of this program is to "Sustain Elimination of Leprosy as a Public health problem at the national level thru quality leprosy services". Kilatis Kutis Campaign (KKC) is an initiative activity which aims to find leprosy cases in high prevalence areas through skin consultation.
